Beryl Bag

Beryl is a quick to knit bag that would be a perfect first cable project for any adventurous beginner. The pattern is both written out and charted.

3 skeins of Fyberspates Chunky Blue Faced Leicester was used to knit the sample - a 100% wool yarn that has 100m / 109 yards to 100 grams. This will give a bag that is approximately 23cm / 9 inches wide, 11cm / 4.25 inches deep, and 27cm / 10.5 inches tall, not including handles.

Tension: 12 stitches to 10 cm in stocking stitch.

Stella Bag


For this stranded colour-work bag, a base is first knit flat, then stitches are picked up and the colour-work is knit in the round.

Dimensions: 20cm / 8 inches wide, 5cm / 2.5 inches deep, and 27cm / 10.5 inches tall, not including handles.

Tension: 28 stitches to 10cm / 4 inches over colour-work.

Sample used 100g each of Superfine Alpaca DK in Parchment and Lilac from British suppliers UK Alpaca.
